St. Jude’s Balham : Regular Services and Worship

Services take place every Sunday at 11am, celebrating either Morning Prayer (Matins) or Holy Communion (Eucharist). At St Jude’s, you can expect to find Holy Communion is offered at least once per month – and oftentimes more.

Our church is proud to express worship of God and fellowship in Jesus Christ through traditional liturgy and language; relying on the simple, elegant, and edifying forms from the Book of Common Prayer, ‘King James’ Bible (Authorised Version), and classical hymnody. We have found that this style of worship and spirituality focuses us and draws us into a contemplative, deep, transformative and renewing encounter with God and we look forward to sharing this with you.

(As a parish that worships this way, we are affiliated with the Prayer Book Society)

At services of Holy Communion, if you have been baptised, you are invited and encouraged to receive this sacrament to your comfort – whatever church you may be from, including if you have not been to church in a long time or not yet found a spiritual home.

Weekly – Wednesday:

There is a shortened Evening Prayer by telephone conference call at 7pm. This is appreciated by and held especially for those who find attendance at church or coming into church difficult. Please email +Mark for more details at drmarkgretason@yahoo.co.uk.
